I storyboarded this sequence from the script without director input. In my storyboarding process, I look for opportunities to add visual comedy when appropriate. I included a gag where Darklord knits in his cell, and when Ace the Bat-Hound cuts the power, every cell shield deactivates—except his. Later I brought Darklord back for an additional gag, showing him crying and blowing his nose, moved by witnessing the Superpets’ reunion.
